About Boulder wedding Photography

Life is made up of everyday moments

but it’s punctuated by the milestones

And I can’t wait to help you celebrate this one!

While a lot of my focus is documentary family photos & video, I do love the celebrations in life. I take on a limited number of weddings in Boulder each year, so reach out to see if I have availability for your wedding or elopement.

Whether through photos or videos, I’ll capture the beauty of your day, the laughter, the tears, & the love in your family. You’ll walk away with an heirloom to enjoy and share for years to come.

And how do you want to remember it?

Natasha was fantastic to work with on the day of our elopement.

I never even realized she was there while. we were reciting our vows.

No awkward poses, all natural movements, gorgeous scenery and such a special intimate moment with my husband. We received the sneak peek pictures as we were driving to the airport to fly home and burst into tears. They were gorgeous and so special.”

You can’t stop time, but you can go back and revisit the memories.

I’m a big fan of transparency and I understand that budgeting for your wedding or event is a big deal, so I’ve tried to make it easy for you to estimate your costs. Sales tax is not included in the below quote. Do ask me about my payment plans, and discounts for your non-profit.

How to book

The best and easiest way to book is to jump on the phone. I know, phones are so 1990s, but I promise I’m easy to talk to and it’s not scary. I want to ensure that I can meet your needs and fulfill all your expectations, and I’ve found that a quick phone call is a great way to start building that rapport. I’ve made this super easy by providing my scheduler link right here.

Once we settle on a date, I’ll send along a proposal which lays everything out and includes the contract and session fee invoice. You must sign the contract and pay your session fee in order to secure the date on my calendar.

Keep an eye on your inbox for my prep guide and a questionnaire so you and I can both be fully prepared for your session.

FAQs

I require a retainer fee of $750.00 to be paid up front to reserve your date and time. The remaining balance minus $300.00 can be paid via a payment plan, so let’s discuss what makes the most sense for your budget. This balance is due 30 days prior to your event. There is a final payment of $300.00 that is due when I deliver your gallery. This last payment is where I collect sales tax for the State. I realize it’s a little convoluted, but so is Colorado sales tax law! If you have additional questions, I’m happy to help!

I promise at least 50 images per hour of coverage, but I usually deliver many more!

I promise 1 – 2 minutes of highlight film per hour of event coverage.

I do my very best to stay healthy so that I can be present for my clients, but things do happen. I am part of a robust network of photographers/videographers and we all support and backup each other when necessary. If something does happen and I’m unable to make it to your event, I will hire an associate photographer of similar or higher skillset than my own to capture your day. I will still edit and deliver your images and follow up afterwards to ensure you are happy with your experience.

I get it! Me too! I tend to approach events with my documentary eye – focusing on capturing the love and emotions between family members and those moments that make up your day. I might ask you to lean your heads together a bit more, or to squeeze in closely, as I know what makes a good photo. And I’ll let you in on a little secret, movement is key! So I will likely prompt you to walk or move in some way, because that helps to forget about the camera, and then the awkward just melts away.

For formal portraits, I’ve worked on lighting and posing techniques to ensure that my clients look their absolute best. As a side note, if you have a lot of posed family portraits that you are hoping to get, it’s super important that we outline your shotlist ahead of time (I suggest planning 2-3 minutes per photo). If you have a key person willing to help wrangle folks to portraits, that can be super helpful in streamlining portrait time, so no one becomes frazzled.

I learned the hard way that multiple backups are necessary (I’m not sure 2008 happened as we lost all of our personal photos due to a hardware crash!). I would feel terrible if I lost any images from your shoot. Therefore, all of my cameras have dual memory card slots, so I am recording to two different memory cards always – an immediate backup in case one of my cards is corrupted. After a session, images are immediately downloaded and copied out to three different places: two hard drives at home, and a third location on the cloud. These multiple backups protect against hardware failures, etc.

I will deliver your images via an online gallery. You are welcome to share this gallery with family and friends as you like. If your internet is slow, I’m happy to provide a USB at an additional cost.

You will get a print release for your photos, but I retain the copyright. Speaking of printing, you will have access to my online store of heirloom-quality prints. You, of course, can print anywhere you like with your print release, but I only guarantee those prints ordered through my store.

Natasha was our photographer for our elopement and she was phenomenal!

She was so flexible and fun to work with.

She made sure my husband and I were getting what we wanted out of our photos and she was really friendly with our families.
